August 5th

Hi all-

Since my last update, I got my RSX gear provided by the organizing authoritarian and got that set up.The past few days I've been mainly trying to stay focused & keeping everything to a routine. During the practice races I've been focusing on the changes in current and wind throughout the day, and getting a good idea of what the day will look like according to predicted whether and what is actually on the water.Practicing my lay lines and starts as much as possible, as well as working on my speed.Today I got through my measurement and all is good on that side.

The RSX class starts racing on August 11th- We are six days away today , on Aug. 8th most of the team will fly to Beijing for the opening ceremony.

Aside form my usual training I haven't done much besides sessions in the gym, breakfast and dinners at the village and spending time with the team. If you want to, you never really need to leave the village, there is pretty much everything you need here, which is pretty nice. Plus I have my own room, I got lucky!

If you are interested in seeing a preview of the Olympic village were we are living, you can go to this link.

Zach Railey, our Finn sailor made this available for his updates on August 1st and I thought it was done very well.

For now that's about it! I'll be back with more, later.

Nancy
